Club Pelican has been voted as the no. 1 course on the Sunshine Coast
and 4th in Queensland by "Golf Australia".
Located in the stunning surrounds of Queensland's
Sunshine Coast, it is one of the first ever Greg
Norman designed golf courses in his home state.
Norman has designed an 18 hole, 6,359 metre golf course which is
in harmony with the original landscape and has produced a championship layout
winding it's way through open waterways, links type land and finishing with
some spectacular holes through the tall Melaleuca trees.
Course
management is the secret to success around this golf course. The Mackenzie
style bunkering is stunning whilst being strategically placed to force a
well-positioned tee shot. Once executed you will be rewarded, however teased
with a number of options for your next approach shot.
Every hole at Club Pelican is pleasingly
individual in appearance and challenge, a course that has many personalities
depending upon the conditions. Many golf course critics claim that after
playing a course and you can recall all of the holes, it is a great one. Club Pelican
is one of those courses.
The golf course is complimented by
some off the finest facilities found anywhere in the world. Club Pelican offers
world class practice facilities, golf tuition programs, Golf Shop and locker
rooms, and not to forget one of the Sunshine Coast's finest Restaurants - T on
Course.

In applying this methodology, a

character with an emphasis on aesthetics part of the landscape for generations.
From the Sharks Mouth:
"It
typifies my design philosophy. I ask myself . . . ‘how do I feel when I walk
off an extremely boring course unable to remember a single hole I just played?'
Anyone can
build the hardest course in the world, or the most boring course in the world.
That isn't a big deal. But to finish playing a course like Club Pelican and
remember each shot of the 18 holes . . . that's what great design is all about.
The design must test each player, whether that
player is male, female, high handicapper or a pro like me. The course must test
all of us, and it must also produce a memorable day".
